FC Barcelona coach congratulates former team mate Ruud Gullit as new head coach of United States Club L.A. Galaxy.
The Los Angeles, United States outfit is currently enjoying a lot of media attention after they signed former Manchester United and Real Madrid super star, David Beckham on a world record $250 Million deal. Now the same club has snapped up Ruud Gullit, the Dutchmaster himself, who along with fellow Dutchmaster Frank Rijkaard and the third Dutchmaster, Marco Van Basten, held an iron grip in both local and international levels in the eighties and early nineties. Rijkaard, Gullit and Van Basten all played at the same time for Italian Serie A giants, AC Milan and also for their national team, the Orange Gang of Netherlands, who the three gave the European Cup in 1988. AC Milan enjoyed one of its best periods with Frank Rijkaard in charge of the defensive/midfield area, and Gullit operating in the centre while Van Basten poached the goals with recklessness.
Rijkaard said about Gullit’s Galaxy appointment:

This is good news. I wish him the best.
Presently, the three of them have now reunited in similar circumstances as coaches, with Van Basten coaching the national team while Rijkaard handles FC Barcelona and Gullit, L.A Galaxy.
