Iniesta calms the storm on Edmilson's recent statement.
As the storm generated by the infamous Edmilson interview is still trying to settle, the Blaugrana teammates of the injured Brazilian have not been very pleased with the midfielders utterances and actions. Sensing he had offended his friends, Edmilson made efforts to reach out to his colleagues. One person who made himself accessible was Andres Iniesta. After initial discussions, Iniesta has sympathised with his erring teammate, Edmilson, who made asome rather scathing cooments in an interview. Edmilson earlier said that:

There are lots of good people in any team and lots of bad people as well. In ever team, there's a black sheep.
The Brazilian went on to suggest that there were black sheeps in Barca and that most footballers both within and outside Barca were too mindful of fame and fortune rather than on result-oriented soccer. Reacting to the statement, Iniesta said:

Edmilson has apologized and admitted his mistake. He asked to speak to us and apologised. He faced up to us and admitted that he made a mistake. He told us that he hadn’t been right in what he said but that he hadn’t intended to rubbish the squad but simply give a general opinion. It was a very positive meeting.
Barca vice-captain, Xavi had earlier expressed shock at Edmilson's outburst.
Iniesta called for focus not to be broken by non-related matters, as this cost Barca dearly last year:

We have to learn from what happened last year. People talked more about non-sporting issues than football itself and we all know what happened. We have to take note and try not to repeat the situation. We have to forget about all of this and work on improving the team, above all away from the Camp Nou.
The young Spanish international is not happy with FC Barcelona's dismal away form:

We’re not doing things right away from home. I don’t believe it’s down to any specific reason - attitude, tactics, etc. I think it’s a general problem that we have to resolve quickly because otherwise it’ll be difficult to win titles. Right now we’ve got two difficult away games but. They’re a good touchstone to break the bad run.
