Raul Gonzalez is eager to deepen Madrid's leadership as the Los Merengues square up against a more superior opponent.

FC Barcelona are set for the biggest match in Europe this weekend. Real Madrid are set for the toughest test of their 2007/08 La Liga race. The venue is Camp Nou. The stakes are high. Either side winning is vital to who eventually wins the La Liga. A draw is not really so acceptable, especially for Barca. However, Real madrid and Raul gonzalez, don't want tos ettle for a draw. They want to win, and win at Camp Nou. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for Real madrid to win at Camp Nou, but Raul wants to accomplish that. The Spanish star vows:

I will play as if it is my final game. Last year we deserved to win and I think that they would agree with that. In principle, we go into the game in a better position as we are four points above them, but it will be a wide open game. Besides, in theory, the team that is at home has the advantage because of the atmosphere that is createdThere is a lot of tension surrounding the game and I do not remember anything about my first visit there, but now I go feeling more relaxed and better prepared mentally.

Gonzalez speaks on two superb players, namely Lionel messi and Samuel Eto'o. Messi will be absent against the league leaders on Sunday, but Eto'o will be present. On both players, Raul says:

Messi is a superb player, but I do not like to compare him because he is still very young and will bring joy to his club and to his country. He is able to do different thing and there is nobody like him in the world. Everyone enjoys watching a player with such speed and balance and his ability to carry the ball and beat players. We are talking about one of the best players in the world and I congratulated him last year after he scored a hat-trick against us. Eto'o is fundamental to them. They will probably recover some of the things that may have been missing.

Raul is also interested in meeting Liverpool in the next phase of the Champions League, just like how FC Barcelona's Eidur Gudjohnsen also wants to deal with the Red army. Raul says:

Playing Liverpool would be very interesting because they have a Spanish coach and Spanish players.
