The party is already on in Madrid as players of the league leaders have assured themselves of victory.

Baptista, Raul, Guti, Nistelrooy, Robinho. The list goes on and on. These players have inspired early celebrations of a victory against FC Barcelona in the el clasico to be played at the Camp Nou. Robinho kick-started the celebrations as early as Monday, a week before the match, declaring Real Madrid as champions even while others were still settling down to the reality of the encounter. The tiny Brazilian's declarations opened the floodgates for wild jubilation and careless prediction by both fans, friends and players alike, which led to an all-round borrowed confidence that the Los Merengues have already defeated FC Barcelona well before the first whistle is blown.

FC Barcelona are relaxed and waiting to display their best football so far this season, as the Barca captain, Carles Puyol summed up the feeling in Camp Nou by saying that:

Losing against Madrid is unthinkable.
