News hounds publish the latest discovery - Benzema to Barca.





Reports from France have, either mischievously or somewhat informed, suggest that FC Barcelona made a move for red-hot Lyon striker Benzema while negotiating Crosas' loan move. The reports state that Barca's technical director, Txiki Begiristain made a request to Lyon for a first preference whenever the French side wanted to sell Benzema, who is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe today, with 19 goals so far this season. The story went on further to say that Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas was not too willing to grant Txiki's request, as Alaus had an eye on other offers. No basis or evidence for the report has yet been established, and comments from either Lyon or Barca have not been received in relation to the purpoted Benzema move.


Benzema himself has indicated he hopes to one day play for AC Milan. Spanish clubside, Real Madrid are also being linked with the 20 year-old French striker.
