SearchAnother Big Victory 1-401st November 2008 Despite the bad conditions that was caused by the heavy rain, Barca showed strength and won three points after 1-4 victory against Malaga. Barcelona started well and they opened the score after five minutes, when Xavi scored from a direct free kick. With a magnificent shot from Duda, Malaga came up with the equalizer in the 12th minutes. Very soon Messi put Barca in the lead again, when Malaga defender failed to clear the ball to find Messi who sent home a fine low shot. In the second half, Henry came in to replaces Iniesta, who couldn't keep his usual style due the disastrous pitch. Bringing in Henry seemed to be a successful substitution, when Eto'o crossed the ball into the area, Henry taking all the option into consideration, he set the ball down with a header to find Xavi who strike it home with a left foot volley in the 53ed minutes. It was very well done move by Barca, made it even better the nature of the pitch. 1-3 lead gave Guardiola confidence to replace Messi with Sanchez and Eto'o with Bojan. Alves came to action, but his free kick was denied by the right post. Ten minutes before the final whistle, Alves again from another direct free kick with a help from the defender trying to clear the ball, but unfortunately for him, he sent the ball in the back of his own net. All things considered, Barca record went to eleven in a row, this time also the victory was convincing. It is not by accident the team play high level of football, it is mixture of quality players, and a man on the bench who knows his team well to take the best of each one of them. Next game will be against Basel in the middle of the week, easy win predicted for the Blaugrana. 2 comments
