Zambrotta Slams AC Milan Transfer Rumours

gabriel
15th January 2008

In the face of rising rumours of his exit, Zambrotta speaks up.

The Barca defender has been linked to a move back to Italy in order to pitch tent with Juve rivals, AC Milan. Zambrotta was even linked with a return to his old club Juventus, but Berlusconi, Milan's President was reportedly more keen on having the Italian national team ace. However, Gianluca Zambrotta is not as keen as Berlusconi in the transfer issue. The hardworking defender is eager to win titles, but not with AC Milan. Zambrotta wants to do this with FC Barcelona. He says:

I am just thinking about helping the Barca and winning as many titles as possible. I have a contract here until 2010 and I feel fine at this club and don’t want to think about what might happen in the future.

Going on further to praise FC Barcelona, Zam said:

The team did a good job against Múrcia. We had the right attitude, we put on the right pressure and things worked out well in attack. I was pleased with my performance personally, especially because my cross led to the first goal although it was important for me that things went well from the team. You give it 110 per cent whenever you get your chance. The players that haven’t played much this season were very keen to play and gave it their all and that shows what a good squad we have. I think the team is fine in a fitness sense. It is normal for us to find the going tough when we play games every three days but at this stage of the competition the team is doing well

.
Zambrotta was alert to the new happenings as Thierry Henry is rapidly transforming to his old self after a stint with the magical hands of the FC Barcelona medical team in which micro-attention was paid to the French man's injury and recovery by Dr. Pruna and the rest of the medical team. Zambrotta praised Henry:

We are happy because Thierry Henry is back to his best. He had a great game against Murcia and it is important for him to be at the right level. But we didn’t only base our attack around Henry, this team has great forwards like Bojan, Giovani, Messi and Ronaldinho, when he’s back.

AC Milan And Juventus Top Zambrotta Transfer Rumours

gabriel
08th January 2008

The Italian defender Zambrotta has his future in FC Barcelona clouded with press rumours.

Gianluca Zambrotta has been in Barcelona for 18 months now, but injury and other situations have not enabled the former Juve star tie down a permanent place in the Blaugrana line-up. Rumours of a potential move back to AC Milan has been rife, along with pressures reportedly being mounted on Zambrotta by his wife Valentina who is still in love with her husband and with Italy. She reportedly hasn't settled down in the beautiful city of Barcelona, and is said to be among the reasons being given for Zam's exit. Now, another angle has emerged in the transfer rumour saga, as the Zebras, Zambrota's former club Juventus have reportedly been linked with a bid for their former defence ace. It is still not clear what will become of Zambrotta's stay in Camp Nou under the present circumstances, but it looks very uncertain that Barca will let go of any player this winter.

The Catalan giants would have also closed their doors completely to any incoming players as well, but may have to reconsider this stance after the torn ligaments picked up by Albert Jorquera. The goalkeeper will be out till around July/August this year, so a back up keeper may be needed. Other than this, it's a no entrance, no exit situation at FC Barcelona this winter.

Will Barca Fan Pressure Drive Ronaldinho Away ?

gabriel
26th December 2007

Speculations rise of a possible exit for Gaucho after the 2008 season.

Gaucho Ronaldinho is no doubt, having some rough times, the roughest in his career so far. The initial exit rumours which were attributed to pressure only from the press, has now spread to pressure from the Barca fans themselves, after a section of the supporters jeered and booed at the Brazilian at the city airport as Ronnie made a stop over for his trip to Brazil for Christmas.

Though in recent times, Chelsea FC have been the most visible ontenders for Ronaldinho, Italian giants AC Milan seem more desirable to the press who have already started to form a dream partnership with Kaka and possibly Ronaldo, if Ronaldinho should join the Rosseneri. However, it still remains unlikely that Ronnie will leave, but the outcome of events in the second stanza of the La Liga will determine where the wind blows.

Ronaldinho Set For Chelsea FC Or AC Milan ?

22nd December 2007

Stronger indcations emerge as Ronaldinho and Rijkaard seem to be developing a rocky relationship.

After some tensed up weeks of press heated Ronaldinho transfer rumours, a slight training ground brush up has heigthened press frenzy about Barca's midfielder, Ronaldinho leaving the Blaugrana and heading for Chelsea FC or more certainly, AC Milan of Italy. The magical Brazilian may likely not take it too well if he doesn't start in tomorrow's el clasico, but players of Ronaldinho calibre don't leave in January as they are champions league cup tied. A lot of heat is however building up well ahead of the 2008 transfer season in summer.

Ronaldinho was benched in past matches due to injury and largely from fatigue from playing too many matches for both club and country, but the midfield sensation says he's now ready to play ful flight and get back his reguklar place in the star-studded Barca squad.

Can AC Milan And Kaka Stop Arsenal Vs FC Barcelona ?

gabriel
21st December 2007

A replay fo the 2006 champions league final match looks uncertain after AC Milan clinched top spot to play Arsenal ahead of FC Barcelona.

The likelihood of an FC Barcelona - Arsenal FC clash was high, but in the end, it did not materialize...at least, just yet...perhaps. If Arsenal can overcome the gigantic battle against defending champions AC Milan, there could still be a chance for the Blaugrana to square up against the Gooners, that is going by the assumption that Barca will trample over the warlords of Celtic.

A lot rests on how Arsenal can curtail the effective experience AC Milan often springs up against such big teams and at such stages in the championship. Two key players shall be Kaka of AC Milan, the current European and World Player of The Year and on the otherside, ex-Barca star, Cesc Fabregas. With Fabregas looking at the likelihood of shinning infront of his home fans at Catalonia, this inspiration could see Arsenal through and set up another likelihood of the mcuh awaited FC Barcelona - Arsenal grudge match!
