Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas Not Going To FC Barcelona

Marca continues their controversial crystal ball gazing and guess work.

Spanish sports daily, Marca has claimed former FC Barcelona youth star Francesc Fabregas is being hunted by Barca for a return to Camp Nou. The paper, which had earlier claimed that Real Madrid were out for David Villa, has drawn attention to itself again after Real Madrid denied any interest in Villa. Barca are not planning to swoop on Fabregas, as the young Catalan wants to see out his contract in Arsenal and help the English Premiership leaders win the premiership title this season. Marca also recently had a scuffle with Real Madrid president, Ramon Calderon, and the often smooth relationship between the two have been scarred in recent times. Real Madrid are known not to have hidden their interest in acquiring Cesc from Arsenal, and the Madrid club made a 60 Million offer to Fabregas over the summer, but the ex-Barca star did not find Real Madrid an attractive club to play for.

Fabregas remains at Arsenal FC where he wants to end this season with the PFA Best Player of The Year Award as well as winning the English Premiership trophy.

The future is still undecided for Santi Ezquerro, who has been impressive in FC Barcelona's pre-season matches.

Everton, Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City, Atletico Bilbao and Osasuna have all been linked with interest to acquire FC Barcelona player, Santi Ezquerro who is on his way out of Camp Nou. Ezquerro, who has featured regularly in the Asian tour of the Blaugrana, has asked for a speedy resolution to his transfer issues and a quick decision about his future. A move to the English premiership will be Ezquerro's ideal move and the player has voiced out his love for the English side of soccer. A free transfer will very well propel many clubs to queue up for the Barcelona man, though decisions on Santi's contract ahs not been made yet. Thiago Motta is also asking for a free transfer from FC Barcelona, but the Italian-Brazilian is attracting offers even with a 5 Million Euro fee placed on him by the oficials at Camp Nou, as Motta still has one more year left in his contract with the Catalan giants.

Ezquerro Waiting For Quick Resolution With FC Barcelona

05th August 2007

Ezquerro looks ahead of the Asian tours to his professional life.

Santi Ezquerro is preparing both for the Asian tour matches ahead and a possible exit form Camp Nou after the tour. This, the FC Barcelona player hopes, will come soon as he is eager to know where his future lies and the certainty of his next destination. Speaking in Beijing, China, Ezquerro said :

I hope that issues regarding my future are sorted out very soon. Until then, I'm going to work hard until the very last minute. Although I hav spoken with many clubs, the clubs must also be willing to also reach an agreement with Barcelona.

Speaking on his lingering status in Barca, Ezquerro said :

During the two years I have been here, all I have taking time to ensure that all I have said and done has been for the benefit of the club. Now I am hoping of a little of the same back from Barca. I just hope that I can join a club where my work is appreciated and where they will count on me

Ezquerro is quick to add that he has no regrets joining the Blaugrana :

Joining Barcelona was the right decision. I do not regret anything that I have done. I have never been through anything like this, either the good or the bad. Few people will experience what I have in the past two years.

Ezquerro is interested in a move away from Spain and will head for England if he has his way, where he dreams of playing in the English Premiership in the new season.
