Barcelona official puts out fire of Lampard move to Camp Nou.
After Deco's stop-over in England enroute Brazil, rumours re-surface of a Deco-Lampard player swap.
News linking Chelsea FC's strongman, Frank Lampard to a Camp Nou move has been dealt a blow by recent comments made by a Blaugrana official, who was encountered by the press while holidaying.
A vice-president in FC Barcelona, Albert Vicens was perplexed at recent news linking him to negotiations with both Chelsea and Frank Lampard, saying :
I have had no links with either Chelsea or with Frank Lampard. I am in Ibiza on holiday and I am most surprised by this news. We have not spoken to any one about a January transfer possibility for Frank Lampard.
This summer has witnessed unsubstantiated reports of Frank Lampard wanting to move to Barcelona to continue his career, with reasons such as salary disputes with Chelsea, the purchase of a house in the city of Barcelona and the influence of his Catalan wife, Elena as sure signs of a new addition to Camp Nou coming from Chelsea. However, these claims have not been proven, and not ven the siad player swap with Deco who Barca have said will remain in Camp Nou.

Chelsea's Frank Lampard left hanging at Stamford Bridge. A future Barcelona star?
England International and Chelsea FC star, Frank Lampard is experiencing delays in his contract talks with Chelsea, fuelling stronger speculations of a potential move to FC Barcelona or to Juventus, should the Barcelona move fail to occur.
Lampard himself feels a little frustrated at the unexplained holding out of the Stamford Bridge officials who he has not heard more word from in recent times. Lampard says:
After the English Cup final, I was questioned about my desire to stay on and I said I will love to continue at Chelsea and thought that would make things continue the way it should have been. Right now, I haven't heard anything and have been waiting since then. It's a bit strange, but not really surprising. In football there should hardly be any surprises. If all had gone well, I should have been thinking about the pre-season warm up games with Chelsea, but now my mind is somewhere else.
Frank lampard is rumoured to be on the cards for a potential swap with FC Barcelona star, Deco who is all set to leave Barca this summer but with a yet to specified destination. Italian Serie A Champions Inter Milan, have been strobgly linked with Deco and until the Lampard moves surfaced, Deco was almost certain to dorn the blue and black stripes of Inter next season. However, recent options have since emerged with the silent treatment being given Lampard from his club, Chelsea FC, raising indications that Deco may yet be headed for a reunion with his former coach at Porto, Jose Mourinho, who is the present coach of Chelsea and with who Deco conquered Portugal and Europe with in spectacular fashion.

After all the hype surrounding our article "The Truth About Thierry Henry's Transfer To FC Barcelona: Barça is in Pole Position!" over the last couple of days, I had the biggest laugh of my life this morning.
The sun was shining, a nice seaview and enjoying "Cafe con leche" on my terrace when I looked at the headline of El Mundo Deportivo: "Two's better than One!" with two players in action, Thierry Henry of Arsenal and believe it or not, Frank Lampard of Chelsea. People who've been following recent controvertial developments and read all the comments will understand why I spat coffee over the table while almost choking with laughter. I was just imagining the reaction and all the abuse I'd get from Chelsea fans when I blog about who's moving from FC Barcelona in exchange for the talented Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard.

I've been pretty busy all day, being verbally assaulted by Arsenal fans but I simply have to take this story on.
El Mundo Deportivo claims that not only is Henry coming to The Nou Camp but Frank Lampard is also in Barcelona's sights for the summer transfer period.
Tell me I'm crazy but I reckon a Frank Lampard move would make a lot of sense.
1. First of all it would remind Thierry Henry what it means to be ambitious and I'm sure he would love to play alongside Frank Lampard. Obviously in the Premiership a no go, but in Barcelona a possibility.
Can you hear me Henry? That's what ambition is!
2. El Mundo Deportivo claims that Frank Lampard is not on best terms with Jose Mourinho. I cann't pass judgement from here but from what I know about Mou, I wouldn't be at all surprised!
3. Mourinho is clearly desperate to sign German Superstar Michael Ballack from Bavarian outfit Bayern Munich, who can leave on a free Bosman in the summer, before the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Michael Ballack is the same type of player and plays the same position. Perhaps Ballack and Lampard could compliment each other but to my way of thinking it seems very unlikely.
The only part that confuses me is why FC Barcelona doesn't try to snag Ballack for nothing but is happy to throw big money at Lampard. Maybe there is some "verbal agreement" in place (Careful - Ed.) between Lampard and Barca should Ballack go to Chelsea? Hmm....We'll see.
4. Chelsea could balance their books a little bit, selling a top flight player for a huge wedge, while receiving a similar player for nothing. Actually, this would reflect well on the management team, at least better than just wasting their money, while putting a smile on the face of their Russian Overlord.
5. Bayern Munich officially declared that Mark Van Bommel would be a suitable candidate to replace Ballack who's definitely changing post codes in the summer (FC Barcelona Blog reported this some time ago). Barcelona would receive a nice transfer fee that could fund a small part of the Lampard deal but more importantly, Mark Van Bommel has to be replaced.
6. If FC Barcelona wins the Champions League, Barca will be well cashed up and could easily take on both players: Thierry Henry from Arsenal, who will not be so expensive due to FIFA regulations and Frank Lampard, who will cost a few gazillion pesos. But the Thierry Henry deal is already in the budget and the millions from the Champions League could be invested in Frank Lampard.
7. Barcelona has a well-balanced squad - more or less. Few players will leave, (maybe Gabri) and Thiery Henry will be a more than adequate successor to Larsson. Perhaps a world class right defender and a world class goalkeeper could be an option, but we are not unhappy with the players that we currently have in these positions.
So, all in all, an additional transfer of Lampard, coupled with Theirry Henry makes perfect sense.
Like El Mundo Deportivo claimed: Two is better than One!

John Terry and Frank Lampard talked to the Spanish journalists in the press room at Camp Nou after Chelsea was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League competition last Tuesday.
Some English media such a Daily Mirror publishes Terry's words today.

John Terry admitted FC Barcelona star Ronaldinho was unstoppable in Chelsea's Champions League defeat on Tuesday at Camp Nou.
Chelsea's captain revealed his admiration for Ronaldinho who he could face again in the World Cup this summer.
England defender Terry said: We tried to stop him with three players but we found it impossible.
It wasn't just any three players - we are talking top defenders. But looking back there is nothing more we could have done to stop Ronaldinho.

Team-mate Frank Lampard also had honourable words for Ronaldinho:
I watch Ronaldinho on the pitch and I see what a fantastic player he is and as a man he seems very humble.

The FC Barcelona forward Ronaldinho has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for some time but he claims Chelsea's style of play would not entice him. Ronaldinho insists he would not be interested in joining Chelsea. It is simple,Chelsea's style doesn't suit Ronaldinho Gautxo.

Ronaldinho told the News of the World: I know Chelsea want to sign me but they are a team I don't want to play for.
The Brazilian star claims the Blues' physical approach to their Champions League first-leg clash would lead him to shun any move to west London.
The first leg at Stamford Bridge showed me Chelsea style does not interest me. Every time I had possession they went to kick my feet first before trying to get the ball.
I've been feeling the pain from those kicks from Chelsea and had to pull out of Brazil's friendly because of it.
adds Ronaldinho.
..That kind of game isn't for me and rather than ever play like that I'd say 'no thank you'.
insist Barça'star.
Instead Ronaldinho would welcome Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard to the Camp Nou - along with Thierry Henry whose Arsenal future is uncertain as fcbarcelonablog has been publishing from many time ago.
Everybody here in Barcelona is talking about Lampard and Thierry Henry joining FC.Barcelona.If it was down to me I would buy them both.
Thank you Ronaldinho, you could speak higher but not more clear.
