Ronaldinho is a great player by every standard. He helped bring a spectacular change to Barcelona, but sometimes players pass through difficulty. West Ham is being awaited to take the final step in the Gudjohnsen transfer talks.
An official from West ham is raising concerns about Barca star, Eidur Gudjohnsen's injury and arguing the Icelandic star might not be ready to move to England just yet, until the injury heals. This comes amid rising interests from The Hammers for the Barcelona forward. Curbishley spoke about Gudjohnsen, saying:
Eidur Gudjohnsen is injured and has not recovered yet. He's battling to get fit, so there is nothing in it at the moment. He's still a Barcelona player. But the transfer window is still open, and we are still active. We're still short in one or two areas.
Talks however have not ended as a deal can still be reached. West ham also made a bid for another injured and talentd player from Derby, Giles Barnes, though this bid was outrighly rejected by the English side, Derby, who still have plans for youthful Barnes. The Derby player however is not in the star class of Barca's Eidur Gudjohnsen. A final decision on the Eidur move is expected from The Hammers soon.

Deco Anderson makes issues clear.
Barcelona star, Deco has responded to various news about his potential exit, his stay in Camp Nou, the trip he made to Brazil and what has been going on about his future after speaking with FC Barcelona on arrival. The Portuguese star, who has been associated with potential moves to Italy or to England, is weighing the circumstances surrounding his presence in Barca this season, while making clarifications about recent interviews he granted that seemed to suggest a move to England was in the process this season:
I merely expressed myself. I thought that Mourinho was a good coach, like Rijkaard and other coaches I have played under, but it was not an indication that I was going there. I have always talked to Barça and, from their side, they have repeatedly said that they do not want to sell me and that count on me. That’s final.
Speaking on his form and weather the absence from Camp would affect him, with suggestions he might have over-stayed in Brazil, Deco did not agree, saying:
I was training while in Brazil. I followed a training plan in Brazil and have managed to train hard to keep in shape. There will always be criticism, and if I hadn’t gone they’d have criticised me for not being a good father.
On the chances of the four players namely Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Lionel messi and Samuel Eto’o all playing together, Deco replied:
This is possible beause they are all great players. But it is the coach who decides.
Asked about his chances of playing regularly for the Blaugrana, Deco replies candidly:
There are a lot of players, but there are also a lot of games and the most important thing is to be ready to help when needed. It will be more difficult but it is the boss who has to find the best team. I will hope to earn a place with good football.

Giuly hailed as quality player above all others.
Fabio Capello has praised ex-Barca player Ludovic Giuly as the best signing for the season in Italian soccer. Capello also praised Roma for making a successful bid in acquiring the former Blaugrana playmaker, saying:
Roma have had a great summer in the transfer market, very intelligent and well thought out. Giuly and Juan are superb signings for any big club. It will be champions like them that can make the difference. Everyone will have to wait to see Pato come of age, but now the best signing of the summer has been Giuly because of the quality he has and for the price Roma paid.
Capello has been making expert comments of late as a pundit in Italy for the new season.
