French legend Thierry Henry is all positive about the outcome of events against Rangers.
Thierry Henry has looked on the bright side of things after Barca secured a scoreless draw against Glasgow Rangers in the third match of the Uefa champions league. The result puts Barca still at their number one position, while Rangers maintain number two spot. Henry was mindful that Barca missed a lot of scoring chances and just couldn't find a way to put the ball behind the Glasgow defence and into the Rangers net. However, the French star believes the one point secured was still a good result if looked from the aspect of one additional point gained by the Catalan giants instead of none gained at the end of the day. Henry said:
We had possession and weren't in any danger but we caused a lot of danger for Rangers. At the end of the day we got the point. We had a very tough game in the league at Villarreal so to then come here and play away was tough but now we have two games at home and hopefully we can do the job and qualify. Well, it depends how you see it. Look at the performance of the game and sometimes it looked like we had four or five off the line. But in the Champions League, whoever you play, it is a good point. Especially as it was our first game back after the defeat at Villarreal. It is better to have one point and keep the distance from Lyon to be honest.
Henry is confident that Barca will stay on top of the group and top of their game all through the remaining champions league matches:
We now have two games at home and hopefully we can finish the job. Rangers got a vital point because now they have a good distance on Lyon. So we will see what can happen in two weeks. Lyon are back in contention but I think them losing at our ground 3-0 and then back home to Rangers 3-0 makes it difficult, so it will be a massive task to come back but you never know what can happen in football.

Hattrick hero against Zaragoza, Thierry Henry hails both Barca and Stuttgart.
Speaking after some great display against Stuttgart in the Champions League, French star Thierry Henry commended both his team Barca and their host, VfB Stuttgart for a sterling performance in another memorable Champions League encounter. Henry saw the Germans as difficult opponents, and believe Barca will be more prepared when the two teams met again in the second phase of the group matches, this time in Camp Nou. Thierry also highlighted the issue of momentary relaxation in the FC Barcelona team while on the field of play, a notion coach Rijkaard already spoke about in his post-match comments and promised to do something about. Henry's words after the match:
It wasn't an easy match at all and we had to work really hard, right until the end. It may have looked easy from high up in the stands, but it wasn't that way at all. We played very well in the first 20 or 30 minutes but we missed a few chances we should have scored then we sat back a bit. I'm not sure why. Stuttgart didn't play like a side that had no points and they had a few chances, but just could not take them. We also missed close chances and would have gone ahead much earlier in the first half. Stuttgart will be a difficult team to face again.
Thierry Henry didn't score against Stuttgart, but will hope to make amends against Atletico Madrid in Sunday's La Liga clash at Camp Nou.

Johan Neeskens speaks on the teams he and Coach Frank Rijkaard will be facing in the 2007/08 Uefa Champions League.
More reactions have come in from FC Barcelona officials concerning the champions League draws which have just been made. The latest reactions come from Johan Neeskens, who spoke on the draws and aired his views similar to what Txiki said earlier. The Dutch legend and vice-coach at FC Barcelona was informative about the potentials of ach team in the Group E of the Champions League, where Barcelona have been grouped:
Lyon are a strong and consistent side who have been the French champions of the last few years. They're no easy teams in this group, and Lyon play very well particularly at their own ground. For our French players, this will be a good tie, as they'll be eager to put in two good performances. They'll prove a tough rival. Stuttgart is an extremely tough opponent and, as a German club, it's very difficult to win on their pitch. In addition, they've signed Ewerthon, Mario Gomez and Cacau this season. These are all quality players. Against Stuttgart we'll need to give a hundred percent so that problems don't befall us. Rangers are a team that have been playing very well lately. They're top of their league, and are difficult to face away due to the special atmosphere at their stadium. They play a physical game with long balls and we'll need to concentrate hard.
Despite the fact that FC Barcelona were the top seed of the group, Neeskens dismises the favourites tag which the press have already started placing on Barca:
Favourites or not is of no help to us. It doesn't change anything. Indeed in all of Europe, I'm sure that they consider us group favourites. But it's still going to be far from easy. In order to make the next round, we'll have to play like a team, and give one hundred precent. But it is great that we don't have to travel many kilometers and flight hours. In addition, we don't have to go to Eastern countries like Russia, meaning we don't suffer from extreme weather and cold.
