The match was the most viewed "El Clasico" ever registered in TV3´s history. The broadcasting of the match was viewed by 2.187.000 tv-viewers on average, which equals a market share of 66,9%. Only the final of the european Champions Cup against AC Milan in Athens was watched by more people on average (2.241.000, 76,2% market share). The "golden minute" (moment with the highest viewers) was hit when Roberto Carlos was sent off with a red card. 2.579.000 viewers where following the scene in Catalonia in front of the TV (76,7% market share).
