Many offers for FC Barcelona Supertalent Bojan

FC Barcelona young supertalent Bojan Krkic will stay with Barca despite having many offers already on the table. Bojan will not go the same route as Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Fran Merida (Arsenal) or Gerard Piqué (Manchester United) who all followed the big money offers of the Premiership.

Bojan Krkic, who will be 16 in August joined FC Barcelona in the age of 9. He has scored a total of 889 goals in just 7 years in a Barca shirt, an average of 3.5 goals per match. Bojan was promoted during the 2005/6 season from Barca´s U16 to the U19 and finally won the double, Championship and Cup.

This year, he will play with Barcelona's U19 team and will also gain senior team experience in Barca B.

The career of the young forward seems to be unstoppable and the fast pace of his development could make Bojan´s biggest dream a reality: Scoring for Barca in Camp Nou.
We would be happy to see this fast forward with outstanding technical skills scoring soon. May be not this season but definetely soon.

Barca Stars of the Future: Bojan Krkic and Giovanni Dos Santos

05th July 2006

FC Barcelona Blog are proud to present some shining stars that are the future of FC Barcelona.

Top of the list is Bojan Krkic, who despite being a mere 15 years of age, has been promoted to Barca B for next season. When running with the ball at his feet the young forward is just unstoppable. In Barca´s Youth team (Juvenile A), Bojan easily takes on and out-plays opposing defenders that are up to 3 years older than him.
To watch this exciting forward play and score is a pure joy. Its beyond question that he'll be a name to look out for at the Nou Camp in the next couple of years.

Born in Linyola, Catalonia, Bojan is a natural born goalgetter. He joined Barca in the age of 9 from Bellpuig when his quick reflexes and lightning speed were first recognised by club scouts. Since then he's developed into an extremely promising youngster - not yet the finished article, but not far off.
If his current growth continues, we at FC Barcelona Blog believe that his rise will be meteoric! First he needs experience, which he will gain when he progresses from the 'Juvenile A' (where he competes well with players 3 years older than him) into 'Barca B', which is, incidentally, an even faster rise than Leo Messi.

But the Argentinian youngster, Messi, has different qualities, Bojan´s strength lies in his tremendous goal-rate. The young player scored an incredible 889 goals in just 7 seasons as a Barca kid and has beaten all Barca Youth Policy records so far. His goal average is literally frightening: 3.5 goals per match!

Bojan began the 2005-2006 season in the 'Cadets' under Rodolf Borrell and scored 26 goals in 13 matches before he was promoted to the Juvenile A, coach Alex Garcia´s Championship and Cup winning squad.

He started as a substitute but forced his way into the starting line-up becoming a very important part of the silverware winning Barca Juvenile A.

Bojan Krkic was also called up by Spain to play in last May´s U-17 European Championship and scored 5 goals which made him top scorer of the tournament, a title he shared with 2 other players.
Next season, you can watch his skills in the Juvenile A but he will also be introduced to senior football in Barca´s B team. But with such pace and acceleration, its hard to say when he'll be playing first team football. May be 2 seasons is a bit early, but I wouldn't bet against it!

Bojan Krkic, remember the name!

The other future star, in our opinion, is going to be Giovanni Dos Santos. You don't have to be a football professor to recognise his outstanding skills and talent. Anybody who followed the U17 World Cup last year knows about this young prospect.

Giovanni is one of the young stars that entertain fans at the Mini-Estadi every week. The Mexican winger is always at the centre of the action and is a real joy to watch. He will be promoted to the Barca B squad next season and will undoubtedly follow in the footsteps of Leo Messi.

In addition to Giovanni Dos Santos and Bojan Krkic, there are Marc Crosas, Jaime Hernandez and Jeffren Suárez who will also be promoted to Barça B under Quique Costas. Youngster Yago, in the same age group as Bojan will stay in the Juvenile A and will be playing Barca C as well to gain senior football experience.

As good as FC Barcelona are today, there's a lot more to look forward to. The future of the club's in safe hands with young players like Bojan Krkic and Giovanni Dos Santos among a lot of others.
